Ally : an ally is someone who supports people who are in a minority group or who are discriminated against, even though they do not belong to that group themselves. Our latest collection 'Ally' was conceptualized even before Neora started. The foundation of Ally comes from my formative years in the fashion industry. I had then seen the difficulties that people from the LGBTQ+ Community faced in their routine lives. My friends behaved differently inside and outside the fashion world. It seemed like outside they were reserved and stifled - they couldn't be themselves. It's heartbreaking to see someone forced to cut corners in their personality for others. Though fashion diaspora encourages individual expression, it's still inconceivable in many places. Freedom to be different is an essential characteristic to me; it emphasizes our humanity. So, I've held on to the principles of freedom to express- express that we are the same but different. Ally is a small attempt to be the same but different. We celebrate differences. Your identity and who you choose to love is your decision. After all, love is not always cheesy and mushy, it's silent, it's dim, it's bright and it's right. This is an incremental step in Neora's journey to endorse diversity. ​
